We have targeted the Nextgenediting Global Initiative at the same countries identified by the Public Library of Science (PLOS) Global Participation Initiative as "Group 1" low-income countries. For more information on the PLOS Global Participation Initiative, click here.

These countries have been identified by the PLOS International Advisory Group based on Health Inter Network Access to Research Initiative (HINARI) data, Gross National Income per capita data, and national expenditure on Research and Development. Bringing our initiative in line with major open-access publishing initiatives should facilitate a streamlined approach to science publishing for authors from these countries.

If you are an author who receives over 50% of your research funding from one of these countries, you will not be charged an editing fee:
